Travel Risk Consulting

What we do?

We help organisations choose, implement and then deliver their chosen approach to travel risk management. We aren’t the guys who tell you which country is dangerous and why, and we aren’t the ones with the doctors and nurses. We are the ones with a deep understanding of the providers and their solutions and who know how to maximise their effect through contract management and exceptional implementation.

How do we do it?

We only take part in long term relationships, our clients retain us year round to take part in the ongoing implementation, management and delivery of their travel risk management programme. The reality is our clients have to manage their insurer, broker, TMC and other security or medical assistance providers, whose solutions often overlap, contradict or confuse each other.

Why do we add value?

These services are often repetitive and vary hugely in their quality, if poorly implemented they also create errors and dilution in the quality of response in a crisis. The ‘accept all’ and ‘implement one’ approach is also hugely costly, and we save our clients a lot of money by empowering them to say a confident ‘no thanks, we’re covered’. In short we make sure our client's choice of providers are streamlined, effective, fit for purpose and that they deliver at the right price.

Assessment

Commercial & Implementation Assessment

We have a 5 step process to assessing the success of your travel risk management programme. This includes not only the success of the implementation of it, but the commercial success factors of value for money, provider performance 'and ultimately' level of risk mitigation and response.

RFP and Provider Choice

Choosing the right combination of providers is complex and often made more confusing by the array of choice on offer. You need to be clear about the levels of risk you're prepared to accept and the specific goals you have for your TRM programme. Finally, you need to ensure the right budget is in place by presenting the right business case to senior management.

Programme Roll-Out & Awareness

We rarely see a fully completed and fully optimal roll out of the chosen solutions that have been put in place. Worse still, poor implementation across a complex workforce means the risk of outdated, inaccurate or misleading travel safety information is still 'live' in your business.

ROI & Provider Performance

You may have chosen the right solution, but have you negotiated the right price for it and are you managing the performance of that contract to it's original intentions. Importantly, have you revisited the fees you pay to the providers whose offered or 'free' TRM services you are not using? Finally, are you promoting the TRM programme's successes to ensure its continued investment and improvement.

Promoting your TRM Programme

From writing your business case for additional budgets, to promoting the successes of your TRM Programme, the process of raising awareness and creating a 'drum beat' of understanding around travel risk is a complex and significant challenge in larger businesses and organisations.
